Emma Korkola is the owner/ director of YOGA MALA, an Ashtanga Yoga studio
in Regina Saskatchewan. As a certified ashtanga instructor, Emma has had the
honour of training with her teacher, David Swenson, along with Marc Darby,
Brian Kest, Doug Swenson, and many other highly skilled instructors. Most
recently completing her Sadhana yoga training in Lake Tahoe, California with
Doug Swenson in 2007, Emma also received her Second Series Ashtanga certification
with David in Edinburgh, Scotland in 2006. As a dedicated Ashtanga Yoga practitioner
and teacher, Emma has enjoyed more than 7 years of instructing the ashtanga
method and inspiring a love of the practice in her students.
Garret Woynarski is a Registered Massage Therapist and Level II Sports Massage
Therapist, also providing CranioSacral treatments. Garret has loved every
minute of his full time Massage Therapy practice for the past 7 years. Garrets
summer months are increasingly busy with treatments for the Saskatchewan Roughrider
football team. Garret attained his Ashtanga Yoga teacher training with David
Swenson and thoroughly enjoys traveling throughout North America in search
of inspirational Yoga teachers for personal and professional enlightenment.
Garret loyally devotes his time and energy as a student and instructor, to
the growth of community at Yoga Mala. Garret enjoys cultivating an open mind
and increased body awareness. Garrets quotes; Ashtanga yoga is
the vehicle to find the balance in ones life. Life change

Tanya is a practicing Registered Nurse with a passion for Yoga. This passion
has led her to train and study with David Swenson. Tanya's excitment to share
yoga with others has stemmed from her focus on health promotion in the community
and her own personal journey to health and wellness. Tanya's goal is to present
health and happiness as something to be, not something to possess. With Tanya's
soulful approach to asana it is sure to bring fullness and simplicity to your
mat.Tanya 's mantra on life is to "Laugh as much as you breathe and love
as much as you live". Tanya is very excited to be joining Yoga Mala.

Lindsay Ferguson is an Ashtanga yoga instructor, trained by David Swenson
in the foundations and teaching techniques of the primary series. Lindsay's
passion for yoga is matched by her dedication to her career as a lawyer. For
Lindsay, Yoga Mala is a place of well being, community and balance. Lindsay's
committment to Ashtanga yoga stems from her belief that this practice gives
birth to compassion: toward one's self and others.
Brett is a Yoga and Meditation teacher trained in New York at the Omega Institute
with Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa. Brett studies hatha based yoga forms as well as
Kundalini yoga, and is also a doula-trained labour support person.
Johanna is a contemporary dance artist and a certified Moksha
Yoga instructor. It was while studying dance in Montreal that Johanna became
intrigued by the practice of yoga. This intrigue is the fodder for her practice
and teaching. Johanna's classes seek to integrate breath, fluidity, and the
dynamic alignment between the body and our actions.

Lidia discovered Pilates in 2000 and found that it has helped her tremendously
with chronic back pain, physical stamina, and stress relief. She has completed
the STOTT Pilates Mat Certification (level 1&2) in 2006 and recently passed
written and practical exams. In addition to her pilates training, she is currently
working on an undergrad degree in Art History at the U of R. Lidia is looking
forward to helping Yoga Mala clients attain their goals through the principals
of STOTT Pilates.

Lorna Cook is a Stott Pilates Certified Instructor, a Personal Trainer, as
well as an S.P.R.A. Certified Group Fitness Leader. With over 19 years in
the fitness industry, Lorna takes an overall wellness approach to fitness
and is a mentor for students of all ages. Her classes are informative, challenging
and a lot of fun.

Victor Lam is an avid Ashtanga practitioner. He is also a Tai Chi instructor
with the Taoist Tai Chi Society of Canada, a world wide charitable non profit
organization. He has practiced Tai Chi for over 20 years. Victors approach
to this internal art is from the perspective of restorative body therapy and
moving meditation. This high energy practice has kept him engaged in his work
at SaskPower and his pastime of acting. Victor looks forward to introduce
Tai Chi at Yoga Mala. His
formal education includes a Bachelor of Science (BSc) and Master of City Planning
(MCP) from the University of Manitoba and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from
the University of Regina.
